Plantronics is a long name and logo, and can be hard to fit on tiny products. PLT is Plantronics stock ticker, and the company was often referred to as PLT. So to me it made sense that Plantronics should evolve into PLT. This was my proposal. The work was embraced, and the PLT logo found it’s way on hardware and software, but shortly after Plantronics acquired Polycom and decided to change the name of the company to Poly. Some of this work helped influence the initial Poly brand work.
